WILL AMAYSIM SUPPORT MY MOBILE DEVICE?

amaysim supports a range of devices including mobiles, tablets and data-only devices such as dongles and pocket WiFi's. As long as the device you're planning to use is unlocked and compatible with either 3G or 4G LTE, you should be good to go.

To use an amaysim SIM, your device will need to be unlocked. You can check the lock status of your device by contacting your existing provider. Typically only devices that have been purchased as part of special bundle deals or mobile phone contracts will require unlocking, however it will depend on your provider.

To unlock your device, you'll need to contact your existing provider - your current mobile provider may have terms and conditions as well as additional fees attached to this process.

In most cases device unlocking can be completed within minutes, in some cases where a code needs to be obtained from the manufacturer, it can take up to 10 business days.

Yes, as long as your 3G device supports the 900MHz spectrum, and is not network locked.

How can I access 4G LTE?

amaysim mobile and data-only plans are powered by the superfast Optus 4G Plus network which uses multiple frequencies (4G LTE 700 / 1800 / 2100 / 2300 / 2600 MHz) to provide coverage. You’ll need to be using a 4G LTE enabled device and be in a 4G LTE coverage area to access 4G LTE signal.

Most portable data devices purchased in Australia will be compatible on the Optus 4G Plus network. However you’ll need to ensure your device is unlocked before using an amaysim SIM.
